The Acter Association is a non-profit entity dedicated to enhancing the technical capabilities of civil society organizations. We utilize cutting-edge technology to bolster their efforts in enacting systemic change. Our focus is on empowering these organizations with the tools and support they need to make a lasting impact.
How we started
In 2022, Acter was founded by three individuals committed to enhancing activism through technology. Their initial meeting in Lisbon, facilitated by advisors from the Matrix Foundation, led to the creation of Acter. Since then, the team has grown internationally, focusing on developing a platform to support activists around the world. This growth aligns with the founders' vision and is supported by funders and supporters globally.
